Our longtime clients, SAP Labs, recently asked us to create a recycled art program for a new building on their Palo Alto campus. This gave us a new and exciting challenge; finding "green" artworks that do not sacrifice their aesthetic value and do not look like, well, garbage.
After a bit of research, we came across some eclectic works by artists Barbara Holmes, Tim Yankosky, Val Britton, and Barbara Kronlins. With Recology San Francisco's Artist in Residence program guiding the way for artists to make these types of pieces, we were able to curate a collection of compelling works created simply from lost or forgotten items. In a sense, these discarded items have been given a new life—one to activate the working spaces at SAP in a non-conventional way. See our Corporate Portfolio for more.
